The SODA’s Preschool provides a quality program with certified teachers and therapists and opportunities to acquire academic, language, motor and social skills. SODA strives towards inclusion and maximum interaction among all children.

The final number of available preschool slots depends on the funding we receive from the State Department of Education for our Pre-K Programs. SODA will be  receiving information about funding in late April or Early May.

• We will have combination classes of 8; 3-year-old students and 8; 4-year-old students in 2 classrooms. 

• Students will attend from 7:45 to 3:15 and will include breakfast, lunch, and snacks. 

• Classes are five days a week; Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday.

• All applicants for preschool must be 3 years old before September 1st, 2025. There are no exceptions to qualify for the combination classroom. Birthdates will need to be verified with official documentation. Applications must be received through the online application site no later than April 17th, 2025 @ 7:00am to be eligible for the first lottery round.

• All applicants for prekindergarten must be 4 years old before September 1st, 2025, and going to kindergarten the following school year to qualify for the combination classroom. There are no exceptions. Birthdates will need to be verified with official documentation. Applications must be received through the online application site no later than April 17th, 2025 @ 7:00am to be eligible for the first lottery round. 

• Applications will remain open after April 17th, but students will be added to the waitlist.

• You will be notified if your child is accepted into the program once we receive verification from the State Department of Education for our Pre-K Program funding. This will happen in early May. Notification will initially be sent through email to the address or by phone provided on the application.

• A definite relationship exists between success in school and attendance. Therefore, it is very important your child is in school every day unless they are ill or other special circumstances exist.  At School of Dreams Academy, for children to receive the full benefits of participating in NM Pre-Kindergarten, it is expected they will attend at a minimum of 90% of the time. 

• As a parent, guardian, and family member of a preschooler at SODA, you become part of our school community. You will receive a School of Dreams Academy’s Preschool Handbook that includes all of the rules, regulations and policies for our school. To ensure the safety of our children, families and staff, you will be asked to read and follow the guidelines of the School of Dreams Academy’s Preschool Handbook.

Please note, upon acceptance to the program, families will be required to complete the following:

• Original Birth Certificate: The original birth certificate will need to be presented and copied by our staff for our school records.

• Immunization Records for your Child: Your child will not be able to attend the first day of school if their immunizations are not current. The School Nurse will notify you prior to the first day of school if your child is not up to date on immunizations. The student may return to school when the school nurse receives and reviews current immunizations, documentation of an appointment for immunizations or a current, completed, notarized exemption form.

• Formal Registration: The above-mentioned documents will be uploaded to the registration portal during online registration. Please have these documents ready before starting the registration process. If you do not have these documents please contact the front office to make other arrangements for verification of these documents.

• Your child’s teacher will reach out before the first day of school to provide families with important beginning of the year information.

If your child is not selected in the lottery, his or her name will be added to our waiting list. You will be notified if a spot becomes available via the phone. If your phone number changes or if you wish to be removed from the waiting list, please contact our front office so that we can maintain your current information on your application at (505)866-7632. El programa preescolar de SODA ofrece un programa de calidad con maestros y terapeutas certificados, y oportunidad para adquirir habilidades académicas, lingüísticas, motoras y sociales. SODA se esfuerza por lograr la inclusión y la máxima interacción entre todos los niños.

El numero final de cupos preescolares disponibles depende de la financiación que recibamos del Departamento de Educación del Estado para nuestros programas de prekínder. SODA recibirá información sobre la financiación a finales de abril o principios de mayo.

• Tendremos clases combinadas de 8 alumnos de 3 anos y 8 alumnos de 4 años en 2 aulas.

• Los alumnos asistirán de 7:45 am a 3:15 pm e incluirán desayuno, almuerzo y refrigerios.

• Las clases se imparten cinco días a la semana: lunes, martes, miércoles, jueves y viernes.

• Todos los solicitantes de preescolar deben tener 3 años cumplidos antes del 1 de septiembre de 2005. No hay excepciones para calificar para el aula combinada. Las fechas de nacimiento deberán verificarse con documentación oficial. Las solicitudes deben recibirse a través del sitio de solicitud en línea a más tardar el 17 de abril de 2025 a las 7:00 am para ser elegibles para la primera ronda del sorteo

• El plazo de solicitud permanecerá abierto después del 17 de abril, pero los estudiantes se añadirán a la lista de espera

• Se le notificara si su hijo/a es aceptado/a en el programa una vez que recibamos la verificación del Departamento de Educación del Estado para el financiamiento de nuestro programa preescolar. Esto ocurrirá a principios de mayo. La notificación se enviará inicialmente por correo electrónico a la dirección o por el teléfono proporcionado en la solicitud.

• Existe una clara relación entre el éxito escolar y la asistencia. Por lo tanto, es muy importante que su hijo asista a la escuela todos los días, a menos que este enfermo o existan otras circunstancias especiales. En School of Dreams Academy para que los niños disfruten de todos los beneficios de participar en el prekínder infantil de Nuevo Mexico, se espera que asistan al menos 90% del tiempo.

• Como padre, tutor o familiar de un niño en edad de preescolar en SODA usted forma parte de nuestra comunidad escolar. Recibirá el Manual de Preescolar de School of Dreams Academy, que incluye todas las normas, reglamentos y políticas de nuestra escuela. Para garantizar la seguridad de nuestros niños, familias y personal, se le pedirá que lea y siga las directrices de Manual de Preescolar de School of Dreams Academy

Tenga en cuenta que, al ser aceptado en el programa, las familias deberán completar lo siguiente:

• Acta de nacimiento original: nuestro personal deberá presentar y copiar el acta de nacimiento original para los registros escolares.

• Cartilla de vacunación de su hijo/a: su hijo/a no podrá asistir el primer día de clases si no tiene sus vacunas al día. La enfermera escolar le notificará antes del primer día de clases si su hijo/a no estará al día con sus vacunas. El/la estudiante podrá regresar a la escuela cuando la enfermera escolar reciba y revise sus vacunas actuales, la documentación de una cita de vacunación o un formulario de extensión vigente, completo y notariado.

• Inscripción formal: los documentos mencionados anteriormente se subirán al portal de inscripción durante la inscripción en línea. Por favor, tenga estos documentos listos antes de iniciar el proceso de inscripción. Si no los tiene, comuníquese con la recepción para coordinar su verificación.

• El maestro de su hijo/a se pondrá en contacto con las familias antes del primer día de clases para brindarles información importante sobre el inicio del año.

Si su hijo/a no es seleccionado/a en el sorteo, su nombre se añadirá a nuestra lista de espera. Se le notificara si hay una plaza disponible. Si cambia su número de teléfono o si desea que lo/la eliminemos de la lista de espera, comuníquese con nuestra recepción al (505) 866-7632 para que podamos mantener su información actualizada en su solicitud.
